23 Nutrimeal Shake Recipes!

Shake Shake Shake… Shake Your Smoothies!


A Nutrimeal protein shake is a great, easy way to start your day because it gives you the proper fiber, good complex carbs, proteins and EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids) you need.


Ideal for breakfast or as a post-workout protein boost, I also use the shakes as a meal replacement for lunch or dinner whenever I am too busy to make a meal or I know I’ll be working for a long time without a break.


For best results, mix all ingredients in a blender. Obviously, omit any ingredients you don’t like and allow these recipes to inspire you to create your own combinations!


The possibilities are endless! Additional add-ins might include flax seeds, whey, almonds, OG peanut butter or almond butter, plain yogurt, instant coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg or ginger, and even greens like spinach or kale.

First, Nutrimeal Shake Basics

First, get some!


Next, the basic recipe is this:

Blend Until Smooth:

  • 8–12 ounces of Liquid (Skim Milk, Soy Milk, Almond Milk or Water)

  • 3 scoops of USANA Nutrimeal

  • ½ cup frozen fruit

That's recipe #1! But don't worry, they get reeeeeal fancy, reeeeeal soon.


But before that,

Tips for Adding & Storing Fruit Frozen fruit gives your morning shake a rich, thick smoothie texture, especially if you add frozen banana.

  • Buy bags of frozen fruit at any supermarket to use when you don’t have fresh fruit in stock.

  • When fruit is in season, take advantage by buying in bulk and freezing extra.

  • When fresh fruit is beginning to turn, put it in the freezer to use for shakes.

  • To prevent fruit from freezing in a giant lump, spread fruit pieces on a baking sheet, freeze, then portion them into freezer bags or containers

Vanilla Berrylicious

  • 3 scoops (or one packet) French Vanilla Nutrimeal

  • 1 c. frozen mixed berries

  • 1 c. water or soy milk

  • 1 c. ice

Razzamatazz

  • 3 scoops (or one packet) Strawberry Nutrimeal

  • 1 c. frozen raspberries

  • 1 c. water or soy milk

  • 1 c. ice

The Joy of Almond After you’ve chugged this blended shake, you’ll be delighted to know you’ve discovered a healthy, low-glycemic alternative to one of your favorite candy bars!

  • 10 oz. water

  • 3 scoops Dutch Chocolate Nutrimeal

  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract

  • 1/2 c. ice


Orange Chocolate Shake

  • 3 scoops (or one packet) Chocolate Nutrimeal

  • 12 oz. orange juice

  • 1 medium banana (optional, if you like a thick shake)

  • ½ tsp grated orange peel (optional)

  • 1 c. ice

Nutrimeal Latte Makes a delicious hot drink, just like your favorite coffee shop's latte or mocha - but better! Blend in a blender approximately 10 seconds or until foamy:

  • 3 scoops of Vanilla or Chocolate Nutrimeal

  • 1/2 tsp of organic instant coffee

  • 1 tsp of coconut oil

  • 10-12 oz of filtered/purified hot water (not boiling)

Carrot Cake Nutrimeal

  • 3 scoops Vanilla Nutrimeal

  • 1 grated Carrot

  • 1 tsp of coconut oil

  • Cinnamon & Nutmeg to Taste


Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Why wait until the holiday season to enjoy fall’s most popular pies? This recipe serves 2.

  • 10 oz. water

  • 3 scoops French Vanilla Nutrimeal

  • 2 tsp. Fibergy® Plus (optional)

  • 1/2 c. canned or fresh pureed pumpkin (unsweetened)

  • 10 oz. water

  • 1/2 tsp. coconut extract

  • 4.5 oz. fresh pineapple

  • 1/2 c. ice

  • 8 oz. water

Peach Vanilla Shake

  • 3 scoops (or one packet) French Vanilla Nutrimeal

  • 1 peach

  • 1 c. pineapple juice (add more juice or water to make 12 oz.)
